Let’s have a tribute to our historical friends over the Channel in France. We could list lots of the great things they bring to your local D’nisi – crisp, warm croissants oozing butter; warm brie giving a hint of sharpness against the sweet Red Onion Chutney in one of our paninis; or even the amazing crunch of a fresh baked baguette next to a big, hot bowl of French Onion Soup.

Today though, all eyes are on the Specials Board for our new array of delights. And taking pride of place at the top is our amazing Roquefort Salad. Roquefort is one of the world’s best know ‘blue’ cheeses (although it itself is more green…) and hails from the Roquefort-sur-Soulzon commune in the South of France. The cheese is white, tangy, crumbly and slightly moist, with distinctive veins of green. The overall flavor sensation begins slightly mild, then waxes sweet, then smoky, and fades to a salty finish.
We’re serving it with a home made dressing – our own variation on a classic french dressing – and crumbled atop crisp cos, with slices of juicy apple, toasted walnuts and the secret ingredient – a handful of sweet, sharp cranberries to offset the apple and complement the cheese perfectly.

It all adds up to an incredible taste, and a sure fire way to usher in the summer, no matter whatever the weather. Vive la France!

We were going to lead with a big image and splash on our amazing Roquefort Salad special this morning – but looking out of the window at the rain coming down, and the grey skies, it seems like something a bit more appropriate might be better to kick off with; the salad definitely conjures up images of drinking wine on the South of France rather than warming yourself up with coffee in the South of Glasgow!

Luckily we have Specials to suit all moods and seasons. Let’s turn our attention instead to one of our Breakfast offerings – a twist on a best-seller. Everyone loves a piping hot, crunchy-yet-soft toasted bagel in the morning – the only decision is what to have on it. Sophisticated, cool cream cheese, or indulgent fluffy scrambled egg? Why not have both? With your bagel in half, share the love with a portion of each, for only £2.99. And if you like, you can pretend you’re eating two breakfasts – that, if nothing else, should provide some much needed cheer on a grey day.

You can hardly have failed to notice the new banners, above and on our main page. While our competitors change a cake her or there every couple of months, we’re dedicated to bringing you fresh, new items every 2 months, like clockwork.
New Specials, soups, panini fillings, cakes, posters and breakfast items are all there for you to enjoy. As always we’ll be featuring some of our new items every few days here and on our Facebook page plus we’ll have the new menu with Specials included online later today. However the best way to see what we have is to pop into branch, and ask the team for a taste!

A Bank Holiday is just another day for great coffee to us. All of our branches are open this holiday monday, so ideal for a pop in….the forecast isn’t great, so a good time to treat yourself and the family to something nice.
